2 decades and counting

That's right! I have "officially" graduated from my teenage years. And honestly, I don't feel any different. But it will definitely be nice to say that I'm 20, not 19.
Nick surprised me and got all of our friends together for a birthday dinner at Iggys. It meant so much and was so much fun to have everyone there. They even got me a birthday cake! And Nick also brought me a bouquet of my favorite flowers.
My whole birthday night was awesome- it was better than any present I could have asked for:)

It's official...

Nick proposed on New Years Eve at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. He took me to the Gold Room, a small room on the east side of the building that looks right at the Temple, where we'll be sealed on March 21st.
Even though he said it was about his "plan C" to propose there, I thought it was absolutely perfect.

.. and I think the ring is perfect too:)
This is for you, Marissa. I hope it's a little better than my cell phone picture!

Michigan with the Potters

I was lucky enough to get to spend part of my Christmas break with Nick in Michigan. Both his brother and brother-in-law are at school in Ann Arbor at Ave Maria Law School. It was fun to get to know his brother's family who I had never met before. We had a great time playing lots of games together and exploring downtown Ann Arbor.

We walked around the campus of Michigan State Law- an incredible building that is about 150 years old. It reminds me of Hogwarts!

Christmas in Dubai

Our family decided to take a last-minute trip to Dubai over our Christmas break. It was quite a change from our traditional Christmases in Logan, but we loved every minute of it.
A few highlights:

Incredible shopping malls.. complete with enormous Christmas trees, ice rinks, indoor skiing, and any store you could ever imagine.

Skiing inside a giant freezer when it's 70 degrees outside

Incredible architecture
Being at the beach in December
Off-roading through the sand dunes

Camel ridesSandboarding

and an Arabian Christmas Eve dinner
